Our client is continuing to scale at an impressive rate, and they are now looking for a self-motivated and well-organized Accountant to join them on this journey. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for providing full-cycle accounting support to various entities, which includes day-to-day operational tasks right up to and including financial statement preparation and analysis. Main responsibilities include:

• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Record journal entries and perform bank reconciliations
• Manage payroll processing and submit government remittances
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statement packages and cash flow analysis
• Prepare monthly working papers for assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditure accounts
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
• Improve financial policies and procedures
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Ad hoc duties as required

• Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting
• Minimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting including payroll
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Experience with Yardi and QuickBooks Online is considered and asset
