This role will provide oversight to RBC’s global community investment portfolio, act as the governance subject-matter-expert for internal stakeholders, and report on performance to an executive audience.What will you do?

  • Lead governance and oversight for RBC’s global community investment portfolio, including RBC Foundation in Canada.
  • Oversee regular reporting to the RBC Foundation Board of Directors, including project management and content development and review, to support strategic discussions and decisions.
  • Manage the ongoing risk mitigation process for community investments, including identifying critical and emerging issues, recommending key controls, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain key governance documents including the Global Community Investment Policy and associated guidance.
  • Advise and support internal partners with governance and due diligence related to corporate foundations and community investments.
  • Manage delegation of authorities for global community investments, including leading training and onboarding of community investment stewards to ensure consistent applications of controls.
  • Partner with colleagues across the Operations and Engagement team on cross-functional projects that enable strong risk management and operational efficiencies.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • 5+ years of experience, including in a social impact, financial services, or not-for-profit role.
  • Self-starter who can prioritize for impact, manage numerous initiatives at once, and roll-up sleeves to deliver.
  • Strategic, critical, and analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Strong and proven relationship-building skills; leading with impact and influence when engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of corporate foundation models in Canada and the U.S.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working in a large, matrix organization
  • Experience in the charitable sector, including serving on a charitable Board of Directors
  • Project Management Certification
  • Working proficiency in French
