Social Care LeaderAshdale Care Ireland is seeking a Social Care Leader to join our community of care to provide a Supervisory role with a starting salary of €38,546 plus a sleep-in allowance of up to €8,000!Ashdale Care Ireland is the leading provider of therapeutic residential care for children in Ireland. Join our expanding team as we continue to grow every day!Job PurposeSocial Care Leaders work as a member of a Residential Team to create a safe and caring environment which meets the individual and group needs of the children who live there. Social Care Leaders must practice by relevant childcare legislation, national standards and Ashdale Care (Ireland) Ltd Policies and Procedures.About the roleJob DescriptionTo promote a caring, nurturing environment to best meet the needs of our young peopleparticipate in all aspects of the RSCW role as per job description.Role Modelling for all staff and young peopleWork alongside Management Team promoting positivity and reflective practice within the homeTo assist the Home Management in Auditing Keywork to ensure it is in line with recommendations from the placement plan meetingsTo carry out specific mentoring pieces of work under the direction of managementTo assist the home management with “in house” inductions with new staffTo assist the home management with overseeing budgets, i.e. clothing, holiday, family time, Christmas, birthdays etc., including requesting monies from Ashdale and processing receipts for returnTo assist with Supervision, both formal and informal and weekly check in’s with new staffTo attend and contribute to planning meetings, statutory reviews, management meetings, SERG’s and other meetings, as required, representing the home in a positive fashion and where necessary, acting as an advocate for the child and their familyParticipate in On-call as per rotaTo assist in the completion of the monthly rotaEmployees of Ashdale Care Ireland Ltd are required to promote and support the mission and vision of the service for which they are responsible and:At all times provide a caring service and to treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner.Demonstrate their commitment by their regular attendance and the efficient completion of all tasks allocated to them.Carry out their duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Health and Safety Policies and Statutory Regulations.What you’ll get in returnStarting salary of €39,124 with a sleep in allowance of up to €8,000 per annum.   • 3 years relevant experience working with children/young people from challenging backgrounds
  • Successfully completed Key working roles (or equivalent) for a minimum of 6 months
  • Up to date knowledge of legislation surrounding Residential Childcare and Safeguarding
  • Experience of multi-disciplinary working with a range of professionals in the industry
  • Ability to deliver reports and meet deadlines
  • Full driving licence
  • Flexible approach to meet business needs
  • Level 7 qualification (degree) or above in one of the following: Social Care Social Work Health and Social Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy Youth & Community Teaching Nursing Social Science Addiction Counselling Counselling / Psychotherapy Family Support Disability Studies Applied Behavioural Analysis Early Years Care
  • Level 8 qualification (Honours degree) or above in one of the following: Psychology
  • Higher Certificate in Custodial Care (Irish Prison Service)
