We are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team based at our HQ in Uddingston where you can grow along with the business.The RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS to join our team where you will Report to the Commercial Manager where you will be the commercial lead on multiple projects, working closely with the delivery teams to achieve targets.Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the operational team to provide advice on all contract and commercial matters.
  • Maintain accurate financial control systems and report monthly on Cost/Value Reconciliation.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of contracts to ensure valuations are maximised, certified, and paid on time.
  • Prepare and manage project cashflows.
  • Monitor site progress and issue notices as required by contract procedures.
  • Handle monthly reporting and subcontractor management, including drafting subcontract orders, oversee and value subcontractors work for payment.
  • Manage contractual elements like EOTs, delay calculations, and contract program monitoring.

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant qualification in quantity surveying.
  • Experience with standard forms of contract.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with the Microsoft Office package particularly Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience within the construction, Civils, infrastructure or M&E sector an advantage.
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry will be a big plus.
