We routinely cover complex patient presentations including neurological, cognitive, bariatric, moving and handling, complex social situations, and tissue viability. Our therapy team is a valued part of an expansive MDT, priding itself in delivering patient-centred care. The entire MDT strives to be at the forefront of innovation and development.As this post is part of the wider Therapy services department, you will have many opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge through our in-service training. You will be part of a large department of over 300 wte Therapy staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy support staff.We provide a 7-day therapy service for our Trust and therefore you need to be able to work weekends and bank holiday, in a rota basis. For Physiotherapists this includes our respiratory out of hours service (On-call).This B7 Advanced Physiotherapist role offers you the chance to work in a friendly, supportive MDT environment with a team committed to improving patient care and experience. Patients present with a wide range of diagnoses, multiple pathologies, and complex social situations. It is a fast-paced environment where effective communication, prioritisation, and teamwork are essential. Our focus is early assessment and complex discharge planning.What we can offer you Access to a range of educational opportunities internally and externally. As part of a large teaching hospital, there will be training opportunities to develop your clinical skills in specialist areas within Acute Medicine. Training and support can be offered to meet your learning requirements. Leadership and managerial development through supported guidance and formal training sessions/courses.
