Role Requirements:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE) with a specialisation or strong interest in History along with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK is essential.
  • Experience in teaching and a strong capability to engage young learners with captivating historical content.
  • Excellent storytelling skills, ability to connect past events to present-day scenarios, strong classroom management, and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for history and educating young minds about its importance and impact.
  • Have Right to work in the UK
  • Have an Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Provide 2 proven professional references

Some of your responsibilities with this role includes:

  • Plan and deliver compelling and age-appropriate history lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
  • Actively participate in the development of the school’s history and curriculum.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking about historical events and figures.
  • Lead history-themed events and projects, such as school museum visits and history days.
