Job DescriptionSysco International are recruiting for a Group Financial Systems and Reporting Senior Analyst on a full-time permanent basis.The purpose of this role is to be the BPC technical lead in supporting users across Europe and International with troubleshooting/resolution of technical issues and change requests. They will also support in BPC change management, weekly/monthly close timetable monitoring, month end processes and validations for assigned opcos, KPI monitoring and master data and user management processes.They will also be the FSR Lead for Workiva and will support the Finance Manager – Statutory Accountant with Workiva system maintenance and governance.The role will offer Hybrid working, with a mixture of home and office working at our site in Ashford, Kent and will be part of a Group FSR team of four whose main responsibility is the management and maintenance of the BPC consolidation system. The role will be a primary business contact for assigned BPC users across the Sysco network, working alongside Group FSR Junior Analyst and Group FSR Project Lead, reporting to the Head of Group FSR. FSR responsibilities include governance of BPC, monitoring of month end process, providing support and analysis to BPC users across the Sysco network as well as opportunities to work with other stakeholders including regional opcos across Europe (UK, Ireland, France and Sweden), Sysco International Finance Team, Sysco Corporate Team based in US, and outsourced BPC support teams.Principal accountabilities
- Technical lead for all BPC enhancements and development to improve reporting functionalities with BPC system:
- Manage BPC change requests; understand change requirements from the business, design and develop the solution, articulate the change to our BPC support team and test and validate once implemented
- Implement and communicate changes to Financial, Supplementary, HR, Credit and Annual disclosure packages as required by the US or the business.
- Evaluate new reporting requirements and their impact on BPC in collaboration with all stakeholders. Communicate and train users on those changes.
- Drive BPC training initiatives on an on-going basis to ensure positive user experience across the Sysco EU network.
- Query investigation, troubleshooting and resolution of BPC package/report issues.
- Monitor the BPC change management process, business partner with the BPC support team, users and relevant stakeholders. Manage the tracking of all support tickets for efficient monitoring of the BPC support team’s performance against service level agreements.
- Support the month end process for reporting to Sysco:
- Manage monthly submissions from assigned businesses and provide support to users during month end close cycle.
- Support the team to develop, circulate and monitor the month end timetable, work status and KPI report.
- Complete data validation and review source system reconciliations.
- Maintain FX rates in the system, ensuring proper documentation for SOX compliance.
- Support the International Financial Reporting and FP&A teams to interrogate and analyse the data to assist with driving consistencies in reporting across the Sysco network.
- FSR Lead for Workiva system maintenance and governance:
- Provide Workiva system maintenance support to the Finance Manager – Statutory Accountant, including master data (chart of accounts & cost centre) and user maintenance and governance.
- Train to be a Workiva “Superuser” in order to support users and the Finance Manager – Statutory Accountant.
- Lead the project to update the Workiva master data to the global COA as part of the EU ERP (D365) implementation.
- Support the team where required on:
- processing and maintenance of master data in BPC including regular housekeeping of BPC dimensions/hierarchies/attributes aligned with Sysco Chart of Accounts
- user management processes which includes user set up, user termination and user profile changes.
- Lead the technical on-boarding of newly acquired companies and support the team to integrate the business incl. data mapping, financial integration and user training.
- Support Head of FSR and Group FSR Project Lead with any ad-hoc BPC improvement related projects including Chart of Account improvements as part of the ERP implementation.
Knowledge, skills, experience and competencies
- Newly qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in financial accounting and consolidation essential
- Fluent understanding of financial statements under IFRS (other GAAPs beneficial)
- Understanding of financial reporting and analysis requirements in business beneficial
- Have a passion and understanding of Finance, Finance Systems and Analysis
- Previous experience of SAP/BPC/Workiva (or other consolidation and statutory accounts preparation systems) essential preferred but not required as training will be provided
- Ability to lead mini projects and manage multiple stakeholders
- Ability to navigate systems and interrogate high volumes of data
- Very high level of accuracy and attention to detail required
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work well in time-pressured environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent team player and can work independently as well
