Then, CNL’s National Security & Critical Infrastructure (NSCI) Research Directorate is the place for you.NSCI Directorate oversees research in four critical Mission areas, supporting the industry and the Canadian Federal Government: Cybersecurity, Nuclear Detection, Nuclear Forensics, Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery, Nuclear Safeguards and, Biodosimetry Assessment and Countermeasures. The result from this research is used to provide guidance to both regulators and industry on effectively meeting nuclear and critical infrastructure security standards.Please submit a resume, cover letter, and copy of an up-to-date transcript by the posting close date of October 16th at 11:59 pm EST to ensure consideration for student employment.   • Preparation of white papers
  • Supporting academic and industry partnerships
  • Supporting ongoing research efforts
  • Supporting operational activities such as emergency exercises preparation

What we are looking for:

  • Education & Experience
  • Currently enrolled at an academic institution of good standing in International Relations, National Security, Criminology, or multi-disciplinary fields such as Infrastructure Protection and International Security
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out research or independent study
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Location:CNL works with employees across Canada to enable a remote workforce where possible.
