Job DescriptionSEN Teaching Assistant – Islington – Immediate Start
Pertemps Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Islington. You will be supporting children aged 4-11 with a range of special educational needs. If you’re enthusiastic about making a difference in students’ lives, we want to hear from you!Location: Islington
Pay: £90-£100 per day
Start Date: October
Interview Date: ASAPKey Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN.
• Assist in managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques to encourage engagement.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment for students with various needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical impairments.
• Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school or similar setting.
• Patience, empathy, and a strong ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
• A solid understanding of SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or sensory impairments.
• Basic knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
