Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As Senior Manager, you will support the Director of Financial Crimes Oversight Testing (FCOT) Program Oversight, to ensure all FCOT Standards and Procedures are in place to effectively assess the Financial Crimes control environment at RBC.What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain FCOT Standards, Procedures, and Guidelines, consistent with RBC requirements, to support the maintenance, communication, and training of FCOT methodologies.
  • Provide support to FCOT teams globally on the interpretation of FCOT methodologies.
  • Work with contacts in FCOT, Financial Crimes, and other related stakeholders to interpret regulatory and internal policy requirements and ensure FCOT methodologies are aligned with global regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of Anti Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF), Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) legislation globally and become familiar with regulatory changes within the international Financial Crime landscape.
  • Provide feedback and training to the global FCOT Monitoring & Testing teams to ensure consistency in the execution of FCOT methodologies.
  • Proactively identify risks, trends, themes and systemic breakdowns within AML, ATF, Sanctions, and ABAC related controls at RBC so appropriate remediation can occur.
  • Work to develop a quality assurance program for second line global Financial Crimes Monitoring & Testing teams, to ensure activities and outputs comply with FCOT standards and procedures.
  • Prepare management responses and materials as requested by internal audit and regulators.
  • Support ad hoc projects and initiatives to align with leading practices.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • 5+ years of experience working in an audit or control assessment, policy or procedure documentation, risk or compliance methodologies roles at a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of testing techniques and practices to assess AML, ATF, Sanctions, and ABAC control environments.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, trends and best practices related to AML, ATF, Sanctions, ABAC, Compliance, or Risk Management.
  • Proven communication skills, impact and influence, and strategic problem-solving competencies.
  • Demonstrated prioritization and coordination skills with the ability to manage several complex deliverables at the same time.
  • Strong data analysis and MS Office presentation skills.
  • Undergraduate degree or specific related experience.

Nice-to-have

  • Graduate degree, accounting or audit designation.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation.
