Description:Do you want ad hoc band 7 bank hours working as a clinical or dispensary pharmacist in a district general hospital tailored to your work life balance.We are hiring to our clinical pharmacist bank and are looking for pharmacists with a clinical or hospital background who would like occasional shifts as an addition to their substantive posts or to work ad hoc shifts in a hospital pharmacy. It is expected that there will be some experience of hospital clinical roles but we can supplement with additional training as required.The hours worked will be at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, Dumfries and/ or Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer. The bank is required for clinical pharmacy roles- supporting safe and effective prescribing and the verification of discharge prescriptions across our admissions, medical and surgical specialities.In addition we have opportunities to support weekend and bank holiday shifts in the dispensary. Hours worked are between 8am to 8pm seven days a week. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.APPLICATION PROCESS –
