Commercial Lead (M&E)OxfordUp to £95,000 per annumJoin a dynamic team in Oxford as Commercial Lead, where you’ll oversee key project financials, manage risk, and lead a talented team on a high-value venture.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the commercial team, providing oversight and direction throughout the lifecycle of a high-value project.
- Manage all aspects of cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring the project stays within budget.
- Oversee contract negotiations, procurement, and tendering processes to ensure favorable terms for the company.
- Monitor and manage project risks, implementing strategies to mitigate any potential financial issues.
- Ensure the accuracy of valuations, payments, and change management processes.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior members of the commercial team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and present progress updates to senior management.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements throughout the project.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on high-value commercial or construction projects.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to lead a team.
- Excellent commercial awareness and financial management expertise.
- Strong understanding of contract law, procurement, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial and project management software.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
