They are seeking a passionate and experienced Drama Teacher to join their dedicated faculty. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of students from over 40 nationalities.Position Overview:The successful candidate will be instrumental in empowering students to develop their creativity, confidence, and communication skills through the performing arts. This role entails fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages self-expression, collaboration, and a lifelong appreciation for the dramatic arts.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP) Drama curriculum to students in Grades 6 to 12.
  • Design and implement engaging drama lessons, incorporating a range of theatrical techniques and performance styles.
  • Prepare and mark a wide range of assessments following MYP and DP protocols.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
  • Direct and produce school productions and performances, showcasing student talent and creativity.
  • Embed IB “Approaches to Learning” in the curriculum delivery.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to establish interdisciplinary links and enrich the overall learning experience.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest developments in drama education.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Drama, Theatre, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • International Baccalaureate curriculum experience
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Full knowledge of drama theory, practice, and history.
  • Ability to deliver outstanding lessons using diverse teaching strategies and resources
  • Enthusiasm and passion for teaching drama and theater
  • Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Excellent practitioner of innovative teaching strategies
