Specialist SEN Teacher – Supportive School in HaringeyWe are recruiting a Specialist SEN Teacher in Haringey to work with children with specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia.   • Teach students with specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia, using specialised methods and resources.
  • Design and deliver lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of each student, promoting both academic progress and personal confidence.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring that teaching strategies are aligned with their specific needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the school’s leadership team.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure that students receive comprehensive and consistent support.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with the latest strategies and interventions for supporting children with learning difficulties.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching students with specific learning difficulties, particularly dyslexia.
  • In-depth knowledge of dyslexia and other learning difficulties, including appropriate teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Experience in working with small groups or in 1:1 settings to provide tailored support.
  • A DBS check is required.
