WithYou, Harbour and ITS in Redcar and Cleveland are part of the THRIVE partnership. This integrated domestic abuse and substance use service are looking to recruit a multi-skilled staff member to deliver substance use and domestic abuse interventions within the local authority safeguarding teams. The staff members will be responsible in responding quickly to high risk safeguarding situations, making sure that people receive appropriate support and guidance.Main duties of the jobYou will work as part of a team with the aims of: understanding your clients keeping them safe creating a plan they can achieve with your support checking in with them and reviewing their progress keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent careAbout usEveryone should feel comfortable getting the support they need for issues with drugs, alcohol or mental health. If you have experience in supporting people with a drug and/or alcohol problem, have a compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others, you could be just what we’re looking for. We are looking for someone to predominantly work with Children’s Social Care teams and adults, developing pathways into services and engaging proactively with the local community. As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside social care services to identify how we can help. You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be. You will also be required to deliver group sessions to stakeholders. We are determined and always professional in our approach to each and every case and we never judge, we’re just here to help. The successful candidate will be required to work on an outreach basis, working closely with the safeguarding team and will be expected to respond to referrals on the same day to deliver psychosocial interventions with the aim of reducing harm and managing risks alongside the adult access team.   • Have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Should you be successful in your application, you will be required to provide 3 years’ worth of references and where applicable, will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
