We want to help them get their maximum refund, faster, and with fewer associated fees.Under general supervision and in accordance with established company policies and procedures, the Area Manager participates in the management activities (staffing, productivity, and tax prep work) for various offices within an assigned district. This position manages the day-to-day activities of seasonal team members assigned to several store locations.What you’ll do here:

  • Assists the General Manager with recruiting efforts and manages the interviewing process of seasonal employees for assigned area.
  • Monitors associate performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors, or problems.
  • Assists General Manager with reviewing and approving work schedules and timecard approvals, monitor time tracker during all shifts, works with Payroll Services on any employee relations issues or complaints and training.
  • Assists the General Manager to ensure all assigned locations meet company standards including but not limited to: office set up and breakdown, technology set up, telecommunications, office supplies and facilities maintenance.
  • Provides employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
  • Assists the General Manager with monitoring company performance for holds/voids/rejects, discount reports and productivity reports for assigned store group. Also responsible for meeting all office goals including, but not limited to revenue, cash control and tax return count in assigned area.

Skills you’ll bring for success:

  • Reliable Transportation.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 25lbs.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent related business experience.
  • Course of study in management or in tax preparation and/or accounting, not required, but preferred.
  • Five or more years’ previous management or supervisory experience required.
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications such as email, Google Chrome, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Adobe Acrobat and accounting or tax preparation software.
  • Previous tax preparation experience and possess a PTIN, not required, but preferred.

Expected salary

$25 – 28 per hour
