We are in search of an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in the healthcare and social assistance industry, based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The appointed individual will be tasked with managing various accounting functions including month-end closing activities, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.Responsibilities:

• Handle month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion
• Prepare and submit journal entries as part of the accounting function
• Conduct bank reconciliation for accurate financial reporting
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems for efficient management of tasks
• Perform account analysis and reconciliation to maintain accuracy in records
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP), including reviewing and running checks
• Manage a small Accounts Receivable (AR) of approximately 12 invoices a month
• Utilize Dynamics NAV and other ERP Solutions for efficient financial operations
• Leverage skills in Adobe Acrobat for document management
• Apply knowledge of Account Coding for accurate financial reporting.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems such as Dynamics NAV or other ERP solutions is essential.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat is necessary.
• Knowledge and understanding of account coding, account analysis, and account reconciliation are needed.
• Experience in handling accounting entries and accounting functions is required.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is important.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is needed.
• Familiarity with healthcare or social assistance industry is a plus.
