Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Validate the employee schedule in the Kronos payroll system for The Moncton Facility employees;
  • Validate the imputed cost centers for each employee and the applicable hourly rate and make any changes as appropriate;
  • Register the various absences manually in the Kronos payroll system, including: holidays, illnesses, WCB cases, etc.
  • Manage the sickness and vacation bank and all other holidays and ensure that the annual update is done correctly;
  • Enter data related to certain payments (tool allowances, shoe allowance, etc.);
  • Calculate vacation and final payments for job terminations and retirements;
  • Work with location supervisors to ensure successful transfer of payroll timesheets daily
  • Work with the payroll department to enforce the planned annual changes to the agreement in system programming (salary increases, vacation adjustments, etc.);
  • Track hours for temporary employees to determine when they become full time
  • Follow-up of file openings in the SAP system for all new employees;
  • Provide support for front desk including answering phone calls and walk-in contractors/visitors
  • Monitor office supplies, order replenishments as needed
  • Create, process, and track all activities related to Accounts Payable for Repair and Maintenance, Materials and Service and Outside Services
  • Create Credit memos as required
  • Managing a budget tracker
  • Inventory support with full goods and raw material variances
  • Managing Vendor payments through prompt pay requests, and vendor invoice management
  • Managing suppliers on MDG including creating new suppliers or managing modifications
  • Perform local plant administrative tasks as needed by manager

Qualifications:

  • Functional knowledge of SAP and Kronos systems; a considerable asset;
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask;
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and provide positive team support
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required
  • Ability to multi-task essential
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills required
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Must be self-motivated, punctual with demonstrated professional maturity
