A place where we promote fairness, equity, and non-discrimination through policies and practices that provide equal opportunities for all employees.Join us and unearth your potential in a global company that is at the forefront of shaping the future of the mining industry.DimensionsPurposeReporting to the Asset Manager, you will lead a team of planners/coordinators responsible to support the operations by maximizing asset availability through reliability improvement and maintenance planning processes, equipment strategy development, life cycle cost analysis, equipment replacement strategies, KPI data tracking/reporting. Short, medium and long-term planning of all maintenance resources, safely and within budget.Essential DutiesEnsure that direct reports and respective work areas are in compliance with all of Newmont’s and Musselwhite Health and Safety policies and the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. Ensure direct reports have the necessary training, skills, knowledge and tools to do their jobs safely. Provide support to all areas on issues that jointly involve production and safety. Observe maintenance operations to detect violation of safety regulations and compile safety and production records. Assist in accident and incident investigations and ensure that recommendations are implemented by agreed upon dates.

• Develop a team of Fixed, Mobile, Electrical and Shutdown planners
• Oversee the creation and management of detailed maintenance plans and schedules
• Develop whole of life equipment strategies that meet legislative, OEM, Company and technical requirements.
• Define critical, insurance and min / max spare requirements.
• Work with procurement and inventory teams to manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely delivery of required components.
• Ensure SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) master data changes are appropriately authorized and managed.
• Cleanse and Maintain Asset Master Data in SAP
• Ensure maintenance is correctly prioritized in SAP based on criticality work to be performed.
• Develop life cycle cost models for critical assets and critical fleet types that:
• Optimize life cycle costs.
• Analyze repair vs replacement models feeding into the site’s capital planning.
• Improve equipment reliability through availability and MTBF trends and bad actor data analysis.
• Asset condition monitoring and high-risk equipment condition review and contingency planning
• Develop short, medium and long-term integrated maintenance schedules of work that optimizes equipment downtime and resource utilization, incorporating fully planned work scopes, inclusive of rebuild and shutdown plans.

Training & ExperienceInteracts and provides leadership to planning and reliability team. Responsible for various leadership functions including reviewing complex work, providing direction, assigning tasks, monitoring progress and assessing performance.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in an UG Mine/Ore processing plant environment.

• Minimum of 10 years mining experience focused on mobile fleet and fixed plant, with 5 years at similar work level.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in equipment maintenance and reliability.
• Demonstrated experience improving reliability, maintenance planning, materials management, budgeting and long-term asset integrity management.
• Competent in equipment strategy development and improvement using RCM methods, life cycle costing, root cause analysis (RCA) and defect elimination processes.
• Competent in condition monitoring techniques and data interpretation inclusive of oil condition, thermography, vibration analysis, NDT, thickness testing.
• Competent in long term maintenance planning, shutdown planning, zero based budget development and cost forecasting
• Good knowledge in SAP and Microsoft office suite application.
