Position SummaryMagellan Aerospace, Llay Wrexham has an exciting opportunity for a Product Group Controller.
- Full Time Permanent Contract
- 39 hours per week.
- Job location: Llay, Wrexham, LL12 0PB.
- Unionised site – works in partnership with Unite the Union.
The Product Group Controller will be responsible for all Production Orders relating to their Stream. They will actively work with Planning & Operations to ensure SOT/OTC performance is within MOS tolerances. They are to be the link between Operations, Planning and Product Stream Leads to ensure Operations achieve OTC, Contractual Buffer is in place and customer D1 I protected.Perks and Benefits

Essential ResponsibilitiesSafety
- Must comply with relevant Environment, Health and Safety legislation and company policies, procedures and safe working systems
- Ensure a safe working environment & practices are maintained and compliance to site HSE standards
- Will follow risk assessments, COSHH assessments, manual handling assessments and CAR reports
- Responsible for participating in accident investigations and approving appropriate actions
- Perform visual inspection of work area to obtain a 6S score daily and ensure the work area is maintained to 6S standards
Quality
- Recovery / Burndown plans – Participate in generating Recovery Plans (when applicable). Daily/Weekly tracking of recovery and escalation when “off –plan”
Cost
- Work-to-List adherence – Ensuring OTC performance across all operations
- DAWC (Actual/Escalation/Constraint) – Drive Operational performance to
Delivery
- Generating Works Order – Convert Planned Orders to Firm Orders inline with MRP & operational status (i.e. if Operations are “On plan”)
- W/Order Exception messages – Weekly review and update of all Production orders with live reschedule messages
- Line of Balance Reporting (VSM) – RM / WIP / FG – All BOM levels
- Start on Time (SOT) – Actively support & drive operations to achieve MOS target s (85%+ SOT)
- Constraint W/Centres – Escalation to Product Stream Lead & Schedulers ( From daily comms meetings)
People
- Attend all Daily/Weekly/Monthly Operational reviews to stay informed of Operational status
- Behaviours to be in line and support company values
- To complete all mandatory E-leaning courses
- Comms /Progress Chase – Inter Company demand / Supply Chain
Position RequirementsAcademic:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent including Maths & English.
- Good verbal and written communication (passed numeracy & literacy exam)
- Excellent vision requirements (passed vision exam)
