About the RoleSalary and Benefits:

  • Salary: £30,296 – £33,024 plus a sleeping-in payment of £40.76 and mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
  • Overtime: Paid at time-and-a-half.
  • Shift Pattern: Full time, permanent, with a good work/life balance. Rotas are given in advance to ensure this balance is met. Please take a look at the example work rota attached for an idea of shift patterns.

As a Level 2 Children’s Residential Carer, as well as caring for the amazing children in our Home you will:

  • Supervise and lead shifts
  • Develop projects
  • Mentor new staff and lead practice areas
  • Represent the Home at multi agency meetings
  • Manage household tasks and prepare young people for independent living

  • Is passionate about care and deeply committed to helping our children and young people grow and develop, socially and emotionally
  • Is willing to develop themselves and undertake a QCF qualification in working with children
  • Has the ability to be a key worker, supervise staff, lead shifts and work under pressure
  • Can produce reports and maintain accurate records and has IT skills and experience
