Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?RBC Capital Markets (RBCCM) is seeking a Manager, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) to help advance the global strategy and associated priorities of its D&I Office. This position will report to the Capital Markets Managing Director and Global Head of D&I, work closely with business and functional leaders, and partner with other stakeholders across multiple departments.What will you do?

  • Manage and execute regular reporting of D&I scorecards, milestones, metrics, KPIs, etc. showing progress against our D&I priorities.
  • Drive execution on initiatives to encourage a more inclusive culture.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to provide leadership to increase their impact.
  • Partner with Marketing and internal/external Communications functions to support the development of engaging messaging and web-based content around RBCCM’s D&I strategy and initiatives to help position RBCCM in the marketplace.
  • Partner with functional leads and other stakeholders to ensure completion of deliverables, on time and within budget.
  • Drive and coordinate responses to RFPs and other surveys requesting diversity data.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting of the D&I budget, in partnership with RBC’s finance dept.
  • Provide project management support and coordinate with action owners to ensure initiatives have clear objectives, delivery timelines, resources, and successful outcomes.
  • Support, and in some instances, manage various projects and initiatives including various awards and other recognition programs.
  • Represent D&I team internally on various steering, leadership council, joint action, and other committees and forums.
  • Conduct D&I-oriented research as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Demonstrated knowledge of D&I workforce issues and experience driving and/or delivering successful diverse representation, inclusion, belonging, and cultural competence strategies and solutions in large, complex organizations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills – demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze large amounts of D&I data and present findings to senior management. Experience leveraging data to forecast and develop a vision for future workforce needs is a plus.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills – demonstrated experience using Microsoft PowerPoint as a tool to express and explain ideas clearly and concisely to a range of internal stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder management experience and a demonstrated ability to partner across stakeholder groups to achieve deliverables and successful outcomes on time.
  • Exceptional relationship skills with a proven ability to build credibility at all levels, particularly with senior level leaders, executive support, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively with cross-functional teams to meet tight timelines and manage multiple deliverables.
  • Experience working and partnering with internal functions such as marketing, communications, employee relations, recruiting, executive administrative support, etc.
  • Comfortable navigating organizational complexity, continuous change, and ambiguous situations.
