Details:Mission and objectives:Promotion of Sustainable Development in Donga Mantung Association was officially recognized by the Government of Cameroon in 2006 under authorization No. 152/E.27/750/BAPP/PS. In 2024, it achieved Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, focusing on sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and migration assistance.The association was registered as an Extra-Provincial Corporation in Alberta, Canada, in 2024. On October 15, 2024, it adopted the name Promotion of Sustainable Development in Donga Mantung Association Canada Ltd for use in Alberta-Canada.Our Mission: We empower our members by improving living conditions, promoting biodiversity, restoring landscapes, assisting newcomers, and addressing climate change through sustainable practices.Our Main Objectives:Ameliorate the living conditions of our members.
Promote and encourage biodiversity conservation.
Support the restoration of degraded landscapes (farms, water sources, forests, etc.) through tree planting and growing.
Provide migration assistance to newcomers in Canada.
Validate actions that adapt to and mitigate climate change.Context:Our organization relies on interns, local volunteers who play a vital role in our daily activities and programs. By engaging online volunteers globally, we can better assist those seeking information about our work. Revitalizing our website will not only promote our initiatives but also demonstrate our commitment to making the world a better place. The website will serve as a resource for information, encourage global engagement, facilitate donations to support promote and encourage sustainable development, migration assistance for new comers and climate change.Task type:Web and Software DevelopmentTask description:We are looking for an online volunteer to re-design our existing organizational website. We will acquire a new domain name and hosting then the volunteer will transfer information from the old site to this new domain and host. In addition the online volunteer will perfect the presentation, make it user friendly and integrate a new logo, and add a developed project story on migration and assistance for newcomers.
The ideal candidate should have know-how in Information Technology and web design, including experience with flash images, responsive design, and social media integration. Knowledge of website security is also crucial to protect against online threats.Requirements:– Current student or holder of Bachelor in Computer Science
– Website design, editing and a solid background in web development
– Passionate about our mission and objectivesWork Hours: 11 – 15
