We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. In this role, you will be involved in various financial operations including month-end processes, financial analysis, and intercompany transactions. This role is in the industry of accounting and will take place in a dynamic workplace environment.Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of our financial records.
• Prepare financial statements up to the drafting phase, ensuring accurate representation of the company’s financial status.
• Perform financial analysis tasks, including variance analysis, to understand financial performance and trends.
• Manage company assets effectively, maintaining accurate records and ensuring optimal utilization.
• Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Handle intercompany transactions, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Analyze budget and forecast data, providing insights and recommendations.
• Support audit processes by preparing necessary financial records and documentation.
• Work on special projects as required, such as cleaning up financials from acquired organizations.
• Utilize various accounting software systems for efficient and effective financial management.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP – Financial Services

• Knowledge of Concur

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting

• Auditing experience
