Mental Health Support Worker Location: Bristol, BS13 Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary with potential to become permanent Are you someone who thrives in challenging situations? Axcis Education have a fantastic opportunity to work as a SEMH Teaching Assistant at a Secondary School in South Bristol. This role will focus on supporting students with challenging behaviour and social emotional mental health as well as support students with various other SEND when required. This well-established school is dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for secondary aged students. With a focus on both academic and personal development, the school integrates supportive programs that encourage positive learning experiences for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The school is committed to creating an environment where all students, including those with ASD, ADHD and physical and sensory needs, can thrive and reach their full potential. Requirements: • Experience supporting children with ASD or SEND is highly desirable. • Patient, reliable, and adaptable with a caring and supportive attitude. • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with school staff. • Capable of managing and supporting students with challenging behaviour in a calm, positive, and proactive manner. Type of Candidate We’re Looking For: If you have experience in any of the following areas, we would love to hear from you: • Nurseries, colleges, youth clubs, residential or care homes • Personal experience with SEND • Graduates in sociology, psychology, sports, music, art, or drama are also encouraged to apply! Additional Information: • Hours: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm. • Roles: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. • Pay: £12.83 – £15 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. • This role is initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
