Context

• The assignment is in support of WE RISE Together, a project funded by the Mekong-Australian Partnership, which operates with the overall objective to empower more women to equally access, lead, and benefit from expanded market opportunities in the Mekong subregion.

Task description

We are looking for 3 Online Volunteers who under the guidance of WE RISE Together’s Programme and Communications Coordinator and in close collaboration with the communications team support us by designing Thai and English version of a 10-page policy recommendations and digital communications assets (which include a digital event banner, a presentation template, and 3-5 social media card templates). In particular, each Online Volunteer will be assigned to:

• Research and propose design style for the publication in alignment with target audiences and thematic area;
• Outline communication assets and prepare distribution timeline for the digital communication package;
• Create draft design based on requirements and discuss with the Programme and Communications Coordinator;
• Develop the design according to agreed requirements.

The design/layout should follow UN Women corporate design guidelines and WE RISE Together Communication Approach which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.

The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections with the Women’s Economic Empowerment and Communications Unit at UN Women, Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, and learn about the ways in which graphic design can support Gender-Responsive Procurement and the empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs in Thailand.

Requirements

Required experience

• Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
• All candidates must submit a portfolio and/or example of previous designs for reference.
• A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
