We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness, they’re likely to die from.The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.We are looking to recruit a General Administrator to provide clerical and office support to our operations and quality team in London.You will provide a comprehensive and professional secretarial and administrative service within the region, arrange patient appointments and professional meetings on behalf of the departments, creating agendas and producing accurate minutes.You will undertake other delegated administration tasks and ensure high service levels for both internal and external contacts practicing clear and effective communication.What we’re looking for:

  • Recent knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures including minute taking. Experience of working within an admin role or a patient facing service
  • Demonstrable experience of working within an admin or a patient facing role
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Office tools
  • IT Proficiency and EMIS and Oracle knowledge is desirable
  • GCSE English and Math (or equivalent) to Grade 4/5
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work towards deadlines
  • Collaborative work routine to be able to work effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional team members
  • Committed to own personal and professional development
  • Values and respects the different cultures and beliefs of patients and colleagues

Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £23,615 Pro-rated per annumHours/Contract: Part time – 30 hours per week; Schedule to be discussedBased: Home Based, United Kingdom.
