Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Montreal East
Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 based on experience
Benefits: Group insurance, including health and dental benefitsOur client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate payments, and supporting various financial functions to maintain smooth operations across several properties.Key Responsibilities:– Record approved vendor invoices and ensure all necessary backup documentation is attached.
– Verify invoice details for accuracy and resolve any issues with vendors.
– Prepare payments to vendors/suppliers via cheque or wire transfers.
– Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments.
– Reconcile Accounts Payable vendor accounts against supplier statements.
– Reconcile credit card statements and employee expense reports.
– Prepare monthly journal entries for year-end accrued expenses.
– Complete the annual filing of Revenue Quebec TP-1086 form.
– Maintain organized filing systems for all payments and transactions.
– Collaborate with the property accountant on various projects.
– Perform bank reconciliations.
– Ensure GST/QST reconciliations are completed and remitted.
– Enter new leases and lease renewals for residential and commercial properties.
– Assist in the preparation of annual CAM & Tax recovery adjustments.Requirements:– At least 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
– Familiarity with Yardi Breeze, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Acrobat.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– A good work ethic and solution-driven approach.
