The IFPA Ireland’s leading sexual and reproductive health & rights organisation is looking for an HR professional to join our team. We’re looking for a motivated HR professional. With the option of significant remote working, we are looking for someone who sees the value in creating processes and procedures to help build efficiencies where possible, while simultaneously keeping a people-centred approach to our work. This position is great for someone who has experience in employee relations and has a skillset around other areas of the HR discipline and seeks to further hone and develop those skills.The successful candidate will report to the CEO and will work closely with members of the senior management team and a voluntary board.Job PurposeThe HR Generalist implements human resources policies and procedures to support employee and Board member experience during all facets of the employee and Board member work life, with an emphasis on creating a positive employee experience, fostering a strong company culture, and aligning people strategies with the IFPA’s strategic objectives.Main duties and responsibilities1. Manage full employee hiring cycle, including advert/job description drafting, vacancy advertising, selection of candidates, scheduling interviews, facilitating interview question development, ensure hiring teams understand the process by coaching and training as needed, making job offers, reference-checking, Garda vetting where required, and contract writing; review and enhance employer branding and integrate in recruitment communications. Creates excellent candidate experience including timely communication and updates on recruitment status.2. Schedule and facilitate the onboarding process for employees with the hiring line manager and for volunteer Board members with the CEO to ensure positive engagement for employees and volunteers.3. Advise and support the CEO to find and implement solution-based strategies to people and culture challenges especially key talent retention, organisational culture, performance management and reporting.4. Provide guidance and assistance to managers on compliance with HR Policies, Procedures, Protocols and Guidelines (PPPGs) including employee entitlements, employee relations issues and health/safety.5. Gather and analyse HR data and evidence to inform people priorities and manages all HR projects and initiatives.6. Advise the CEO and Board’s employment & renumerations committee on the development and implementation of the employee handbook and HR policies with the aim of providing the best possible employee experience across IFPA.7. Develop performance management tools for line managers to provide employee feedback and to enhance performance.8. Attend and provide administrative support to the Board’s employment and renumerations committee.9. Monitor and assist with the use of the IFPA time management system and provide support and guidance where necessary.Minimum Qualifications· 2 years professional level HR Generalist experience.· Experience monitoring and evaluating HR programmes and people policies.· Experience facilitating collaborative processes and must be comfortable with cross organisational collaboration.· Must be able to develop and implement effective strategies in hiring processes.· Demonstrated skills and passion for communication that builds community.· Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person across a range of situations from internal team conversations to sensitive one-on-one discussions.· Must be well-organised, detail oriented, and able to exercise decisions independently.· Experience working with databases, spreadsheets, word processing and other software programs.· Knowledge of laws and regulations related to HR.· Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.· Enthusiasm for working in a sexual and reproductive health organisation, and dedication to providing high-quality people centred HR services.Desirable· Understanding of the process for developing, updating and compliance with policy, procedures, protocols and guidelines in an NGO setting.· Be familiar with governance principles and standards for charities and have a basic knowledge of legal responsibilities of charities under the Charities Act 2009.· Degree or post graduate qualification in HR or Business Administration.· Project management and/or project administration skills.· Database management/Time Management Systems administrator skills.
