Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of Work: Full-time, Immediate Start
Contract Type: Long-Term Temporary
Working Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm

We place a strong emphasis on supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), fostering an environment where each individuals strengths are nurtured.The Role:We are looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with children who have diverse needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and emotional or behavioural difficulties. You will play a vital role in creating a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment for students, collaborating closely with teachers and specialists.Key responsibilities include:Providing tailored support to students with SEN, promoting both their academic and personal growth.
Assisting in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting lessons to meet specific needs.
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students develop social and emotional skills.
Collaborating with the wider school team, including SEN Coordinators and external therapists.What Were Looking For:Ideal candidates will bring:Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN in a classroom, support, or care setting.
Strong understanding of SEN needs and behaviour management strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach, ready to adapt to each child’s unique needs.Eligibility Requirements:To be eligible for this role, you must:Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
