As a Cover Supervisor in Winchester, you will step in to supervise classes and maintain a positive learning atmosphere during teacher absences. You will have the chance to work across various subjects, support diverse learners, and help students stay on track with their studies. If you enjoy engaging with young people and are keen to make a valuable contribution to their educational journey, this could be the perfect role for you!Key Responsibilities for the Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise students across different subjects, following lesson plans provided by the teacher.
• Ensure classroom management by creating a focused and respectful learning environment.
• Support students’ academic progress by providing direction and assistance as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with staff, sharing insights on students’ engagement and behaviour.
• Uphold school policies, including behaviour and safeguarding guidelines, at all times.

Requirements for the Cover Supervisor:

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting is ideal.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to maintain authority in the classroom and engage with students of all abilities.
• An adaptable approach, with a positive and patient attitude.
