My client are a highly regarded, leading tier 1 contractor delivering building and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.Their portfolio encompasses a well-balanced and extensive range of work with projects including civil engineering/infrastructure, commercial schemes, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.They are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to initially work on a £20m office block scheme.As the Senior Quantity Surveyor your primary responsibilities will include:
- Efficiently manage project costs from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial objectives.
- Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Proficiently handle various contract forms, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
- Effectively manage subcontractor relationships, including procurement, payment applications, and dispute resolution.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in main contracting, with a focus on similar schemes exceeding £15 million in value.
- Proficiency in handling various contract forms
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
