As the Technical Domain Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and operational management for the team which comprises of 4 domains:
- MSI Team – Responsible for delivering the latest cloud – on premise Smart Building solutions.
- Life Science Process Experts – Delivering Life Science projects.
- Aveva Technical Specialists – Specialising in delivering Aveva UOC Datacenter solutions.
- Technical Specialists – Subject matter Experts (SME) on applying Digital Building Offers in the field.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and initiatives for Digital Buildings.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of technical domain specialists.
- Strong technical background on leading and project managing complex integrated Building Management projects, data centre and Life science projects.
- Builds/defines with the project team a project management plan based on the Project Management Process (PMP for OCP, CPP for Customer Execution Project)
- Work with the technical teams (Architects, engineers, developers, IT specialists) to manage and coordinate project schedule from conception through to delivery.
- Strong foundational knowledge of the infrastructure and architectures of OT and IT systems.
- Able to communicate effectively giving clear, concise status reports and updates to organizational partners, leaders, and stakeholders in both technical and non-technical terms.
- Sets priorities and devises a clear formulation of the objectives & of the critical paths to be taken.
- Measures & diagnoses the project execution issues, implements action plan.
- Detects the project changes and constraints which impact the project objectives & execution.
- Defines the performance metrics (Individual and Project)
- Proactively works with functions to develop accurate estimates of project costs, to coordinate budgeting, and to implement effective cost control processes.
- Challenges all involved parties on their respective commitments (project management plan, and deliverables)
- Tracks and monitor the quality and reliability of solutions and support provided to clients within targeted domains of data centers, life sciences, and real estate segments.
- Consistently develops reliable and accurate estimates of project cost, product/solution cost and executes to forecasted expectations.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong technical background on Integrated Building Management systems with 5 years domain experience in datacentres, life sciences and real estate segments
- Strong Project Management experience (e.g. Prince 2, APM PMI)
- Passionate about learning and staying up to date with the latest technologies.
- A willingness to learn the full Schneider Electric product set; ranging from Power, Data Centres and Building Automation to Industrial Applications and Data Analytics.
- BSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical engineering, or related field.
- Have a positive engineering mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and customer oriented.
- Ability to work well individually and in a highly collaborative, multi-site team.
