Servicing some of the UK’s best-known companies and leading brands across industries such as beauty, cosmetics, confectionary, spirits and speciality retail. With a commitment to sustainable materials, innovative designs, and meticulous craftsmanship, they help brands make memorable, lasting impressions through their packaging solutions.Our client is looking for a Sales Director for their UK site to fully manage and drive their sales team of 9 staff. The successful candidate will also manage 1-2 Key Account(s). You will be heavily supported and offered an excellent transition period into this role with full support from the Group Sales DirectorIn this role you will be responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy for their client’s cartons and luxury packaging solutions. This role will involve developing a high-performing sales team, building and nurturing key client relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and meeting ambitious revenue goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within packaging or closely related industries, a passion for luxury branding, and a proven track record of driving sales growth.Key Responsibilities:Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals and market trends
- Set and manage annual and quarterly sales targets, KPIs, and budget allocations to achieve growth and profitability goals which are all aligned with group strategy
- Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends and adjust strategies accordingly
- Attend group sales strategy meetings when required
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to maximise performance
- Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and professional growth within the team
- Regularly review sales team performance and ensure individual and collective targets are met or exceeded
Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor and industry expert to meet their evolving packaging needs
- Along with the sales team you will conduct client visits and presentations to showcase their capabilities, maintain rapport, and gather feedback for continuous improvement
- Lead negotiations and oversee high-value contract agreements and tenders, ensuring a balance between client satisfaction and company profitability
Business Development & Market Expansion:
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to develop promotional materials, samples, and campaigns that resonate with clients
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to represent the company and expand the network of contacts in the luxury packaging space
- Collaborate with other sites across the group to maximise client growth
Product & Service Innovation:
- Promote the company’s sustainable packaging initiatives and eco-friendly solutions to clients, positioning the company as a leader in responsible luxury packaging
- Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and technologies to help develop and introduce innovative packaging solutions that enhance their competitive advantage
Reporting & Analytics:
- Monitor, analyse, and report on sales performance, pipeline progress, and market trends to the senior leadership team
- Leverage data and existing CRM tools to forecast sales performance and adjust strategies to meet market demands
- Ensure compliance with sales policies, processes, and reporting standards
