THE CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS WILL BE FRIDAY 22ND NOVEMBER 2024PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLYJOB TITLE: Housekeeping SupervisorJOB REFERENCE: HKS 11/24REPORTING TO: Executive Housekeeping ManagerHOURS: Full Time (roughly 30-40 hours per week), 5 days a week including weekends, with the most common shift being 10am to 4pm (the end time may vary)LOCATION: Galgorm (Ballymena).SALARY: £14.09 per hourFree Transport:We also offer our Housekeeping team a private bus service from two collection points in Ballymena town to the Resort and you will be left back to these points after your shift.About the role:The Resort has 125 bedrooms including suites, deluxe, and superior rooms. In addition, we have self-accommodation including Riverside Cabins and Cottage Suites set within the grounds, as well as Red Oaks Residence and Charles Lanyon Lodge. As Housekeeping Supervisor you will join an existing team of supervisors working within this large dynamic team to ensure the highest of standards are maintained. You will be assigned a specific area of the resort and supervise a team of around 10 housekeepers daily.The main focus of this role is to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion and rooms are ready for guests to check in and enjoy throughout their stay. This is a very busy role that requires excellent time management and communication skills. We are seeking someone with really good motivational skills who can get the best performance out of their team.If you believe you are up for the challenge then we would love to hear from you!Job Description:The main duties of this role include but are not limited to;
- Cleaning and servicing the Resort as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
- Supervising your team and providing a clear schedule of their daily duties.
- Assisting in the training and development of housekeeping staff.
- Spot-checking between 30-35 rooms daily ensuring all are clean and serviced to the correct high standards.
- Ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all cleaning machinery.
- Being fully conversant and compliant with the health, safety, hygiene, fire, and security regulations and procedures of the hotel and ensuring others are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
- Interacting with guests and completing any requests dealing tactfully, promptly, and discreetly with any problems or complaints.
- To carry out any other duties as requested by department heads or management.
The Person:Applicants must:
- Have at least 1-year of housekeeping experience.
- Previous experience working within a hotel.
- ICT skills.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Have great attention to detail.
- Display a flexible work approach.
