Job Description:OverviewTwickenham, Hybrid working, Salary up to £35,000An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Event Manager to join our Awards and Forums team.Reporting into the Group Events Manager, the Events Manager will manage a portfolio of 5-7 events across a calendar year for Haymarket Business Media brands in their specific market sectors.The Events Manager is responsible for the complete end-to-end project management of each of the events in their portfolio. Proven experience of running B2B events, both virtually and live is needed for the role with the expectation that this would include commercial award events and/or commercial forums, either within Haymarket or another B2B media company.
Responsibilities
- Producing and maintaining an event project plan for each event. Ensuring that the event runs to schedule and deadlines are met
- Responsible for managing your events P&L. Accurately tracking expenditures, maintaining forecasts along with the prompt financial decommissioning of projects
- Working with the marketing team to ensure that the activity is executed timely and correctly in-conjunction with the timeline of the event
- Managing the operational delivery of events. Incorporating sustainability initiatives in planning and delivery
- Maintaining effective working relationships with internal events, editorial and commercial teams along with external contracted key suppliers
Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria
- Proven experience running events and a good understanding of event production, suppliers and processes
- Solid budget management experience
- Exceptional planning and time management skills – ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy – even when working to tight deadlines
- Sound understanding of event health and safety regulations and requirements (including risk assessments).
- Good relationship building and stakeholder management skills – experience working with senior stakeholders and manage expectations.
