Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?RBC Home Equity Financing (HEF) is the leading lender of residential mortgages in Canada with over $400 billion in assets. As the Manager, Data Analytics within the HEF Pricing Team, you will leverage advanced analytics to provide senior leadership with insights into the impact of pricing strategies on the HEF portfolio. You will maintain a robust reporting package focused on the pricing aspect of the HEF business to drive key decisions with a high degree of impact. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with data science teams to support the development of predictive models that enhance pricing decisions. You will also focus on automating reporting processes and optimizing pricing tools to support continuous improvement and efficiency.What will you do?Support and execute Customized Pricing process, leveraging optimization tools to delivery pricing strategies that align with market conditions and business objectivesBuild and maintain reporting dashboards to measure the success of customized pricing strategies, providing performance insights and strategic recommendationCollaborate with the HEF Pricing Team to leverage advance analytics and performance metrics for early identification of trends and anomalies in pricing strategiesMaintain existing reports and dashboard on a regular basis, while proactively identify opportunities to enhance user experience and automate reporting processes for greater efficiencyLeverage Python to enhance and support web application that supports pricing processMigrate existing legacy code into Python to enhance reporting processCollaborate with data science team to support the development of predictive models by providing relevant data inputs and gaining insights into the modelling process to enhance data-driven pricing decisionWhat you need to succeed?Must Have:2+ years of experience in an analytical and reporting roleStrong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience developing and optimizing complex queriesHands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBIAdvance proficiency in business analytics, including Excel, for in-depth data manipulation and analysisStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for contributing to a dynamic team environmentUndergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics)Nice to Have:Experience with SAS for advance data analysisExperience in A/B testing or other experimentation methods to evaluate and optimize business strategiesFamiliarity with data science and predictive modelling conceptsPrevious experience within the financial industry, with a strong passion for leveraging data to drive impactful business decisionWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
