Yokogawa Marex has an exciting new opportunity for a highly driven Inside Sales Engineer.As a key contributor reporting to the Sales and Service Manager, your role is instrumental in supporting the global sales team in providing essential guidance to customers throughout the sales cycle. Your primary objective is to facilitate the seamless adoption of our software solutions, to improve the safety and efficiency of our customers’ production plants.Leveraging your technical expertise, process industry knowledge, and effective communication skills, you will employ a customer-centric approach to comprehensively understand clients’ business drivers and requirements. You will recommend optimal solutions, showcase the value of Yokogawa’s products, prepare quotations, and collaborate with the global sales team to win opportunities.Yokogawa Marex, a Division of Yokogawa UK Limited, is a specialist software solutions company developing and delivering software solutions providing valuable insights and actionable information to operate facilities effectively, efficiently, and safely in a profitable and more sustainable way.As an Inside Sales Engineer you will:

  • Support the global Yokogawa sales organization to generate and close sales opportunities with global customers
  • Provide product information in response to customer inquiries, matching customer requirements to proposed solutions
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations during sales engagements or to support marketing activities
  • Create proposals for the development and deployment of customer specific software solutions
  • Communicate client needs to the Software Development team
  • Collect competitive intelligence

We are looking for a colleague with:

  • Degree level technical qualifications in engineering or software-related subjects
  • Proven 3 years work experience in the sales of process automation or software solutions
  • Solid technical background of process industry or software technologies
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-motivation, results-driven, pro-active, and able to perform under pressure
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of the sales channels and customers
  • Willingness and ability for international travel
  • Experience and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Desirable but not essential

  • Proven work experience in the sales of complex software solutions
  • Proven track record of selling Plant Information Management Solutions
  • Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and process industry technologies

  • Hybrid working, from home and our offices in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, United Kingdom. There will be times for which your presence in the office is required, you should therefore live within commutable distance.
  • 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with flexibility required to meet customer and business needs.
