- Executing the Asset Management Program
- Applying excellent asset management standards using ISO 55000 as a foundation and integrating asset management principles across all asset groupings in CNL.
- Developing asset management tools that optimize CNL assets, including creating asset management metrics.
- Drafting corporate-wide implementation procedures, policies, standards, and other asset management documents.
- Ensuring that asset decisions comply with Corporate Property/AM Policy principles.
- Optimizing the acquisition, accounting for, control, utilization, maintenance, service, protection, preservation, and disposition of applicable asset groupings.
- Leading the development of Asset Management Plans
- Leading workshops with stakeholders to develop asset information.
- Analyzing the results of condition assessments, applying risk and probability modelling criteria, and updating the applicable Risk Register.
- Initiating and coordinating the timely execution of condition assessments of assets.
- Authoring Annual Asset Management Plans for identified Asset Groups.
- Developing investment strategies to support the optimization of assets.
- Defining asset Levels of Service and Standards.
- Analyzing data
- Working with key staff across the company to develop integrated short- and long-term asset plans.
- Authoring asset management plans (AMP), procedures, policies, standards, and other asset management documents for corporate-wide implementation.
- Providing specialized and expert analysis of data, summarizing information, and preparing reports and key performance metrics.
- Reviewing and interpreting information sources and documents related to general civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Providing training and training support and communicating asset information
- Coordinating training of assessors.
- Ensuring contractors are appropriately trained to perform the scope of work.
- Communicating asset information, as needed, to peers CNL and AECL executives.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- A degree in engineering, a diploma in a technical trade, or equivalent education and experience.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations is beneficial (Asset Management Certification).
- Experience
- Two years of experience in the area of asset management or facility planning.
- Management/leadership experience gained through progressively more responsible positions in facility operations, engineering, finance, strategic planning, and project management.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A strong business approach, focus on details, and the ability to produce accurate, quality results, technical documents, reports, and condition assessment documentation in a reasonable time.
- Excellent communicator who works well in both a team environment and independently and has strong attention to detail, superior analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work strategically.
- Good verbal and written skills to communicate clearly and accurately (and, where appropriate, diplomatically) with both technical and non-technical personnel inside and outside CNL.
- Ability to think strategically and to translate high-level strategic goals into understandable objectives across CNL.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
