Job SummaryA vibrant and inclusive nursery in Haringey is looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Early Years Practitioner to support children aged 3–5 with additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional to join a supportive environment dedicated to nurturing the developmental and emotional well-being of young learners.
- Full-time, term-time only position
- Work closely with children aged 3–5 who require additional support

Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan, implement, and adapt engaging activities to meet the individual developmental and learning needs of children with SEN.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to help children build confidence, communication, and independence skills.
- Monitor and assess progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to reports as part of the nursery’s SEN provision.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCo, nursery staff, and external professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Work directly with families, maintaining open communication and providing advice and guidance to ensure continuity of support between home and nursery.
- Promote an inclusive and nurturing environment, ensuring every child feels valued and supported in their learning journey.
- Support colleagues by sharing SEN best practices and contributing to staff development sessions.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification, with specific experience working with children with SEN.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including those related to autism, speech and language delays, and sensory processing needs.
- A child-centered, empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- A proactive and creative mindset, with the ability to adapt activities and approaches to suit individual needs.
- Enhanced DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
