Framlingham Medical Practice have an exciting opportunity for an administrator to join our busy administrative team. You will work in conjunction with our highly experienced clinical team to assist with the smooth delivery of excellent patient care.The role is offered on a part-time basis for 25 hours per week over 4 days.Main duties of the jobThe Administration team is a small accomplished team who have clinical and non-clinical experience which allows for a supportive team environment.The team works across the main and branch surgery. They work very closely with the clinical team to ensure
- Long Term Conditions are annually monitored in a timely manner
- Scanning and coding communication into patient records
- Allocating workflow for review by the clinical team
- Processing practice post and emails
About usFramlingham Medical Practice is a rural dispensing practice with approximately 10,000 patients. We have our main site in Framlingham and a branch surgery in the village of Earl Soham.Our practice team consists of:
- 4 GP Partners
- 1 salaried GP
- 2 On the day practitioners (Paramedic, Advanced Nurse Practitioner)
- 3 Practice nurses
- 1 Nurse Associate
- 1 Health Care Assistant
- 1 Phlebotomist
- A Dispensary Team
- Excellent Reception and Administrative support teams.

o Process post and electronic communications on the day they arriveo Record managemento Maintain retinal screening websiteo Waiting list for 24 hour ECGs and 24 hour B/Pso Long Term Condition Review recalls & QOF targetso Identify pre-diabetic patients and signpost to Diabetes Prevention Programmeo Receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate querieso Code clinical correspondence on patient recordo Patient record summarisingo Maintain website and Facebook PageAny other Administration duties required as advised by the Operations ManagerTelephone & Communication
- Handle all telephone and general enquiries in a professional manner, referring urgent calls to clinical staff.
- Make appointments for patients in accordance with practice protocols
- Liaise with hospital and community staff

- Daily monitoring and processing of all emails received in to the main surgery nhs.net email account
- Ensure all Tasks and Notifications received via S1 are appropriately completed
- Ensure that emails on NHS.net are regularly read and processed as required
