Salary: $140K+Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Process Design Engineer to transform engineering concepts into manufacturable designs for reactors, systems, and equipment. The ideal candidate will excel in performing complex calculations, collaborating across disciplines, and ensuring designs are functional, safe, and well-integrated.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed design packages, including PFDs and P&IDs, for reactors, systems, utilities, and tankage.
- Perform calculations for equipment sizing, pressure drop, and heat transfer.
- Collaborate with process engineers, operations, construction, and safety teams to refine designs and layouts.
- Work with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless system integration.
- Maintain design documents and provide technical expertise throughout project phases.
- Engage external engineering teams as needed.
Qualifications:Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., ChemCAD) and CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, equipment design, and material selection.
- Ability to perform complex calculations related to process engineering.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 10-20 years of experience in chemical process design.
