Working closely with manufacturing and engineering disciplined engineers.Package: JIB rates + benefits including: healthcare, pension plan and the option to join a great company share scheme.The RoleTo manufacture and test a range of bespoke control panels from empty enclosure; selecting components, layouts and wiring up following electrical drawings and instructions. Working safely, accurately and efficiently to tight deadlines.

  • To accurately and efficiently build and wire control panels following electrical drawings and instructions within specified timescales.
  • To carry out appropriate pre-delivery inspection and testing on finished control panels both on the shop floor and at customer premises in line with approved standards and customer requirements.
  • To maintain safe working practices and adhere to quality control procedures at all times.

ProfileThe Person

  • Previous panel wiring/panel building experience essential. LV Switchgear, motor control principles and control panel design experience desirable.
  • Previous experience of interpreting electrical drawings and technical instructions.
  • Positive “can do” attitude. With good attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills. With the ability to flexibly and proactively manage changing priorities and work to tight timescales.
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, must be able to communicate at all levels.
  • Able to work extended and/or unsocial hours to the full requirements of the role
