Working in line with clearly defined standards which comply with national policies, and company procedures, the Housekeeper Team Lead will be responsible for leading and supervising the housekeeping team ensuring that a high standard of cleaning is maintained throughout the hospital.This is a part-time position (27.5 hpw)Working 14:30 to 20:00Monday and Friday with occasional SaturdaysMain duties of the jobAs Housekeeper Team Lead, youll be effectively be managing the housekeeping team, ensuring all cleaning tasks are carried out and completed to required standards. You will need to monitor the performance of your team, highlighting and managing any areas of concern and conducting performance reviews and regular 121s.Youll need to train new staff, bringing them up to speed with the requirements of the role and hospital, also you will need to ensure they are competent in the use of varied products and equipment.You and your Team will be ensuring that all areas of the hospital are cleaned in-line with the requirements specified for that particular individual room.Duties include but are not limited to; mopping floors, dusting and damp wiping all surfaces including walls, doors, windows, handles and switches, as well as internal glassed areas. The cleanliness of toilet areas including; toilet pans, seats and wash basins will ned to be regularly upheld. Included would be managing collection of returned laundry and preparing dirty linen to be collected.As Housekeeper Team Lead you will be to maintain daily, weekly, and monthly records as required for keeping your team compliant, consistent and in line with company standards.Not only will you and your team be looking to make sure the hospital is clean, youll monitor and keep an eye out for potential hazards, ensuring they are made safe or the issue is quickly bright to the attention or the department manager.About usWe see the Housekeeper Team Lead, coming from a very similar background experienced leading and supervising a Team in providing that high standard of cleaning. You might have worked within a clinical or hospital setting in the past or in an environment accommodating a large footfall.As a Team Lead you will be an effective communicator at all levels, face to face or via phone conversation, comfortable with the use of IT equipment.You will have a good working knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations and will be health and safety conscious, possessing a keen eye for detail and will be someone who can encourage others and takes pride in your work.Everything we do is focused on providing a high standard of safe and effective patient care.
