Job description
The Assistant Accountant will play a vital role in the accounting & finance team, handling a range of accounting duties. The candidate will need to be proficient in accounting tasks and have strong excel skills.
- Maintenance, accounting and reporting activities ( including journals).
- Prepayment and accruals.
- Preparation of the applicable monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the Accounting Managers with analysis, open item management and documenting processes.
- Ensuring strict compliance with financial & business controls required by the Division/Group and external auditors.
- Support to Internal and External audits.
- Support to finance team as required.
Are you immediately available or available on short notice?|Do you have month end accounting experience?
- Part Qualified
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software e.g. SAP.
- Understanding of industrial/manufacturing operations.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
