Our client is currently seeking a Construction Manager to join their team at Stanstead Airport. Responsible for overseeing the delivery of construction activities.Key skills required for this roleAirports, Construction ManagerImportantAirports experienceJob descriptionKey Responsibilities:

  • On-site supervision of all capital projects to ensure safe, secure, and quality delivery of construction activities
  • Booking and conducting Cause & Effect testing requirements and witness testing as per project ITP
  • Develop construction operations and logistics strategies for all capital projects
  • Monitor construction delivery elements of project CSR plans
  • Assist in the selection and management of delivery partners who provide the best value for the business
  • Develop delivery strategies to meet customer and stakeholder operational needs and constraints
  • Support Capital Delivery team members in ensuring constructability, quality, delivery efficiency, and logistics
  • Review Pre-Construction Information for adequacy and assist Project Managers in preparing high-standard HSE Hazard information

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Represent client at Site Progress meetings, focusing on maintaining high H&S standards and overall performance
  • Identify and notify contractors of defects, issuing defect certificates
  • Report any EWN, Defects, and notifications as per NEC Supervisor responsibilities via CEMAR
  • Conduct regular site visits and provide site reports to the project manager

HSE Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality and completeness of Pre-Construction Information and Asset records for H&S File information
  • Contribute to Designers’ Risk Register and Design Risk Meetings
  • Review the adequacy of Construction Phase Plans
  • Maintain a register of F10s and monitor expiry dates
  • Manage the Safe Start process to ensure the construction phase is fit to commence and compliant
  • Conduct regular site inspections using the Site Companion App for Site Engagement Reports
  • Report near-miss observations, incidents, and site hazards via software
  • Review H&S File Part 1 for completeness and accuracy, coordinating PA3 Process with Assets stakeholders
  • Oversee construction site incident investigations to ensure thorough root cause analysis and remedial actions

Expected salary

£400 – 490 per day
