Reports To: Manager, Group Collection and Commissions
Department: Group Actuarial
Term: Permanent Full-TimeWork Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.The Opportunity: Equitable is growing! We are looking for a Group Collections and Commissions Specialist for our Group Actuarial team. This role is responsible for completing Group Collection and Group Commission activities. We are a busy team, so multi-tasking, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail are a must along with your focus on efficiency. - Various Premium Collection and Advisor Payout Tasks, including:
- Incoming payment processing
- Billing
- Processing transactions on our administration system
- Working with various departments and resolving customer inquiries
- Contribute to bank and premium reconciliations
- Advisor payout processing
- Supporting workload management for overall Group Collections and Commissions team
What you will bring:
- Post secondary education with a focus on Accounting or Bookkeeping
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Self motivated drive that strives for continuous improvement
- Minimum 2 years of collections and commissions processing related insurance industry experience
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prepare MS Excel based numeric reconciliations and Pivot tables
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
