We work together to drive ambition for every future!PurposeContributes to the overall success of GBM Business Continuity and Operational Resilience team globally primarily focused on developing and executing immersive and realistic exercises (i.e. scenarios, tabletops) for the business line in coordination with enterprise stakeholders; developing curriculum and delivering training to GBM stakeholders; and developing, tracking and reporting on key metrics and conducting post-mortems for training and incident responses.What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and deliver standardized annual operational resilience self-assessment scenarios;
  • Develop and deliver standardized tabletop exercises for business continuity planners;
  • Coordinate with enterprise stakeholders (i.e. Operational Risk Oversight, Enterprise Crisis Management, Cyber) and regulators (i.e. CIRO) in developing and delivering annual exercises in the most efficient manner for GBM;
  • Develop/onboard increasingly realistic simulation systems/platforms and methodology (i.e. BCP, Op Res, incident response);
  • Manage GBM BCP and Op Res KPI and KRI monitoring and reporting and escalate breeches accordingly;
  • Develop and deliver GBM-specific curriculum related to BCP, Op Res and incident response protocols working closely with stakeholders including Learning and Development;
  • Conduct post-mortems on exercises, tests, training and incidents and produce report in accordance with enterprise standards and manage the sharing and remediation of lessons learned;
  • Support BCP Senior Manager with BCP-related tests (i.e. alternate sites, call tree, satellite phones);
  • Support Real Estate/Facilities, Occupational Health and Safety and property management teams with fire drills and other evacuation exercises;
  • Be prepared to support GBM operational resilience efforts and GBM incident management by acting as scribe, information and records manager as required;
  • Be prepared to support operational resilience efforts as required;
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of the role’s respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligation with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk; and
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Familiarity with incident management, operational resilience and business continuity
  • Familiarity with US Department of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) principles
  • Experience in exercise or scenario design
  • Experience with after action reviews/ post-mortems
  • Experience with computer simulation systems/ platforms
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Strong collaboration and communications skills

Work Arrangement:
This position is currently an hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work at least 3 days a week in the office.
