This position reports to the MAP Manager and is in the Peachtree Corners, GA office. This position allows limited remote working in accordance with Siemens’ policies.The Quotation Analyst plays a significant role in business generation of Switchboards, Panelboards, Busway, Unit Substations, and other products by providing competitive and profitable pricing for large project opportunities.The Quotation Analyst works closely with Siemens Sales, Business Developers, Product Management, Project Management, and 3rd party Suppliers in executing the pricing strategies for projects of varying complexity.You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Manage Apparatus pricing for large projects in specific Sales regions, primarily using COMPAS GO, the LOA tool, and some associated costing/pricing functions.
  • Evaluate major project BOM’s based on cost and profitability by balancing market competitive pressures against business unit goals and requirements.
  • Manage the MAP Queue ensuring responsiveness to large quotes for all regions.
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify and reach their target prices by project.
  • Support BU profit goals by managing the margins applied in project pricing.
  • Follow pricing and margin guidelines provided by MAP team management.
  • Contact 3rd party suppliers for costs and assign sell prices on buyout products such as substation transformers.
  • Collaborate with fellow MAP team members for consistent practices and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Standard Products Pricing team for input on projects.
  • Collaborate with COMPAS support to drive process improvements.
  • Comply with and enforce Siemens’ policies and procedures.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration or related field.
  • Three (3) plus years of professional experience in the electrical distribution industry.
  • Experience and proficiency in using COMPAS GO and reading apparatus BOM’s.
  • A full understanding of electrical distribution equipment, especially Panelboards, Switchboards, and Busway.
  • Demonstrates strong system skills, especially using COMPAS GO, Excel, and Word, as well as PowerPoint.
  • Experience preparing quotations and proposals.
  • Applies a Customer Service orientation with internal customers utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates and applies strong interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Applies a high level of critical thinking to balance profitability and competitiveness in pricing decisions Excellent communication skills.
