This role offers an exciting opportunity to support and enhance the provision for students with special educational needs (SEN) while developing your leadership skills within a welcoming and collaborative environment.Your RoleAs the Assistant SENDCo, you will:

  • Collaborate with the SENDCo to manage and improve the school’s SEN provision.
  • Support the development, implementation, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the needs of students.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to deliver effective, tailored interventions.
  • Lead or assist in organizing staff training sessions on SEN strategies and best practices.
  • Monitor the success of SEN support programs, providing recommendations for improvement where needed.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, ensuring every student feels supported and empowered to achieve their potential.

About YouWe are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience supporting students with SEN, ideally in an educational setting.
  • A background in teaching or educational support roles, with a passion for SEN education.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Essential Requirements:

  • A clear DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
